Here's an interesting survey I ran across last night...It's found in Group Magazine's Hype Section, the article is called 'God in Five Languages'. It's a survey they did on 7,000 kids in eight different countries, question number 5...
5. What 'nourishes' teenagers spiritual lives?
Nature, more than anything, helps kids feel more 'spiritual' - nine out of 10 (87%) said that. Also:
-Listening to or playing music (82%)
-The influence of parents (76%)
-Spending time helping others (76%)
-Being alone in a quiet place (74%)
- The influence of friends (71%).
Interesting...parents are #3 at 76% for influencing their kids spiritual lives...did you notice that youth groups or church didn't even make the list. It's you who play a vital roll in your teenagers spiritual lives! Yeah, we can give your kids the basics, we can interact with them and share Christ with them, but it's YOU who makes the impact, it's YOU who they look to!!! As you may have seen on the youth group review page, our next few meetings are going to be HUGE meetings. I just wanted to take a minute to ask for your prayers. Please pray for your kids...and their friends. Please pray for guidence for us leaders and PLEASE pray that God will move in this group to further His Kingdom!
As a side note: Please accept my apologies for going over by a half hour Sunday, December 21...the meeting was a very serious meeting, we talked about our testimonies and where we are in our faith. It was such a powerful lesson, each kid had an opportunity to share their thoughts and concerns. It was amazing how open and honest everyone was...again...I'm extremely sorry for the delay, I know how important your time is! thanks for your patience!

Check out the calendar for upcoming events! Keep your eye open for permission slips which will be in your mailboxes at church (or sent to your house) for the camping trip!
I still haven't figured out how to upload the permission slips, etc. I'll keep trying to figure that one out!!

Hi there Parents!! This page is just for you!! We hope to accomplish a number of this with this website.
1. We want to keep you updated about what's going on at CROSSwalk, so we will be updating this page frequently with news on what we are talking about each week.
2. We hope to be able to attach useful documents (ie. permission slips!) to the site, just in case!
